"Throughout the first five seasons of this game, we’ve seen our fair share of very savvy players take victory and we’ve seen numerous players return for redemption and to improve as players. In this season, you’ll see four of the strongest players from the series’s history quite a lot - but not as players. This is because this will be the first season that includes coaches!" - Blakers, BB6

At the start of Big Brother 6: Training & Tributes, 8 new players and 5 veterans entered the house, ready to either play for the first time, or attempt to fight their wrongs from the past. These 13 houseguests were joined by 4 coaches, seasoned and high level players who would assist their own group of houseguests: NP, Celever, Lorde, and Hermes. The houseguests were then divided into 4 teams of 3, with 2 newbies and 1 veteran per team. The exception however was Jade, who was not placed on a team, and received immunity for the week. Afterwords, the first HOH of the summer kicked off, and it was an old classic 'Popularity Contest', where houseguests had to garner votes to become the first HOH. With Cel and Lorde's teams aligning, as well as NP and Hermes's, Jade was left to break the tie and decide if Draskk or Violet was to be the first HOH. Draskk received the majority of the votes and became first HOH, and gave Team Lorde immunity for the week! Though meaning to nominate Goomy and Jplap, he accidentally nominated Flour in Jplap's place. With Goomy and Flour on the block, Draskk intended to backdoor former adversary Violet. However, in the POV competition, 'Balloon Fight', Violet was randomly drawn and won the POV (#vetoqueen)! She chose to save her teammate Flour, which left Draskk scrambling. Deciding to still go through with a big move, he denominated and targeted TE. By a vote of 8-2, TE was backdoored, becoming the first evictee of the season.

After TE's eviction, houseguests competed in the returning competition 'Passimian's Jungle Bowling', which Mae won with a perfect score, granting Team Lorde their second week of immunity in a row. Continuing Draskk's plan of backdooring Violet, she nominated Piplup and Jplap as pawns. At the veto competition, 'Swirlix's Cotton Candy Catch', houseguests had to make as big of a cotton candy without ruining it as possible. Despite Violet being drawn once again, Mae won the POV, gaining full control of the week. She chose to go through with her team's plan, and decided to save Piplup, and name Violet in his place. At the eviction ceremony, by a vote of 6-2, Violet was the second evictee of the season.

After Violet's big eviction, houseguests competed in 'Box Tower', stacking as many slates as possible before missing the increasingly smaller tower. Before the HOH competition concluded however, Blakers expelled Goomy from the game due to carelessness regarding the game. Jade ended up winning the HOH competition, giving Team NP a week of immunity. She decided to nominate Piplup and Draskk, targeting Draskk in continuation of knocking veteran players out of the house. However, when Mae told her about Raven targeting him, she shifted targets. This week had a twist in the hacker competition. The hacker would be able to anonymously replace and name their own nominee, put someone in the veto competition, and nullify one player's vote. The competition was 'This is the Only Level', in which houseguests had to zoom through the same stage with new twists on it repeatedly as fast as they could. Jade won the hacker competition, and deciding to shake up her own HOH, saving Draskk and renominating Raven. At the POV competition, 'Galaga' houseguests had to gun down as many enemy ships as possible to score high, and hopefully win the competition. Jade, proving she was a competition beast, won the POV and discarded. At the eviction ceremony, Jade chose to nullify Flour's vote to evict. With Vom not voting, the vote tied 2-2, leaving Jade to break the tie, choosing to send her target Raven out the door, naming him the first member of the jury.

After Raven's eviction, the teams were disbanded, and with that the coaches left the house, leaving their advisees to test what they'd learned. Week 4 was revealed to be Survivor Week. Houseguests would be competing in a reward and immunity challenge before partaking in a free-for-all vote, where anyone except the immune player could be voted out. At the reward competition, houseguests competed in the 'T-Rex Game', where they had to hop over cacti and duck under birds for as long as possible. Draskk won the reward competition and won a Hidden Immunity Idol, which allowed him to grant 1 player of his choice (himself or someone else) immunity at tribal council. At the immunity challenge, the iconic 'Winterbells', houseguests had to hop along bells for as long as possible. Draskk won the competition, gaining immunity for the week. At tribal council, Draskk decided to play his idol on Jade. Jade received 1 vote, which was nullified by the idol. All 6 other votes were cast against mirdo, and he was voted out. Piplup was expelled for not voting, becoming the second juror, while mirdo became the third member of the jury.

Week 5 opened up a light twist to effect the week, Brawn Week. Themed around competition threat coaches Celever and Hermes, Brawn Week put emphasis on performing in competitions. Vom won the HOH competition, 'Tetris', becoming the new HOH! Because players were punished for poor placement in competitions via the Weakest Link twist, Mae was named an automatic nominee, leaving Vom to only nominate 1 other houseguest, choosing Flour. At the POV competition, 'Doodle Cricket', houseguests had to score as many points playing cricket as possible. In the end, Jade won the competition, choosing to save Mae. The veto being used triggered another twist, in that the lowest POV scorer would be a third nominee in addition to the replacement. Because of this twist, FK and Draskk were both automatically nominated (as regular replacement and weakest link respectively). At the eviction ceremony, only Jade and Mae were the only eligible voters. By a vote of 2-0-0, Draskk was evicted, becoming the fourth juror.

After Draskk's eviction, to complement Brawn Week, week 6 was labeled Brain Week, inspired by the strategically and socially savier coaches, NP and Lorde, as the challenges would be themed around using intellect to win. At the HOH competition, 'Voltorb Flip', houseguests had to flip over tiles to try and survive on a game board, avoiding the Voltorbs. After a long duel between Mae and Flour, Mae survived long enough to win the HOH! Mae shocked the audience, choosing to nominate FK and Vom over Flour. At the POV competition, 'Fibbage', houseguests had to submit lies about a scenario. They were then presented with the lies and the single truth, with guessing a lie giving the liar points, and guessing the truth earning the correct guesser points. After edging out Vom and Flour, Jade won the POV! She decided to undo her ally's choices, and vetoed Vom, automatically renominating Flour. By a vote of 2-0, Flour was evicted, becoming the fifth member of the jury.

After Flour's eviction and the conclusion of themed weeks, houseguests competed in the returning HOH competition 'Snake', where players had to eat apples to become as long of a snake as possible before biting themselves. Jade got the largest and won the HOH! She chose to nominate FK and Vom, stating it wasn't personal, and chose to keep her ride-or-die Mae off the block. At the POV competition, 'Exit Path', houseguests had to clock the fastest time or make it the furthest through an obstacle course game. With the furthest distance gone as no one completed the course, FK won the POV and chose to remove himself from the block. At the eviction ceremony, FK had the sole vote to evict. He chose to evict Vom, and she became the sixth member of the jury.

Week 8 left the house without only 3 houseguests: FK, Jade, and Mae. Due to there only being 3 houseguests left, the 3-part Final HOH was to take place. In Part 1, all 3 houseguests competed in 'QWOP', where houseguests had to maneuver a man's legs to get as far as possible on a track. With the farthest distance, Jade won Part 1 of the HOH. In Part 2, FK and Mae competed in 'Flappy Bird', with houseguests having to make it the furthest through the green tubes maneuvering the bird. With FK scoring 2 points higher, he won Part 2 and advanced to face Jade in Part 3. In Part 3 of the Final HOH, 'What the Bleep', houseguests were given quotes made by the houseguests which they had to guess if they were true or false, after getting more questions right, FK stunned everyone as he beat Jade and won the Final HOH of the summer! With his sole vote to evict Mae or Jade, he chose to evict Mae, naming her the seventh and final juror.

With Draskk being unreachable, his jury vote was given to America, leaving only 6 actual jurors in the jury house. Going into the finale, many jurors said they would not vote for Jade to win due to her tactics that left the jury feeling bitter. In addition, Mae revealed to the rest of the jury that she and Jade were siblings, leaving a couple jurors and audience members believing this to be an unfair advantage to both of them. However, due to Jade's responses being persuasive enough, and FK not bothering with the finale, Jade was awarded the win in a 5-2 vote, with Flour and America voting for FK.
